Too Many Bullet Points
I was at a conference recently that, for the most part, was very, very good. Most of the presenters focused on leading good discussions using visuals simply as a tool to further that discussion. So it was a shock to the system when one or two times I found myself in a presentation where somebody felt the need to read to me the bullet points on a PowerPoint slide. I was surprised at how visceral the reaction was, how quickly I felt like screaming!
I’m convinced that there is a correlation between the number of bullet points in your PowerPoint slide and the chance that someone at the back of the room will scream.
